01.WOMAN AND YOUTH TRAPPER TRAINING

Feb 1,2 & 3, 2019 

LOCATION: 

Ocala Youth Conservation Camp 7325 NE 170th Ave., Silver Springs, Florida 34488 

TRAINING:

The basics of trapping, box traps, snares, reading animal tracks and baiting. Training will then move on to skinning and cleaning animals caught. Proper fur handling techniques will be taught as well as trapping ethics. It is the participant's responsibility as a hunter/trapper to familiarize themselves according to FWC laws at (myfwc.com). All participants must have a current FL Trapper's License. This is a fun and rewarding weekend of trapping fellowship.

REGISTRATION: Women/Adults (class is limited to 20 participants) 

PAYMENT:

Woman/Adult: Non-FTA Member is $80 per person 

Woman/Adult: FTA Member is $50 per person 

All Youth: $65 per youth

***Non-Member Adults & All Youth registrations includes a one year membership***

PARENT/GUARDIAN/CHAPERONE: (this is required for youth that are 12 years old and under)

Adult accompanying a child and not taking a class but, staying to oversee their youth is $40 


***ONLY Noon meals will be provided all 3 days ONLY! Adults and parent/guardian/chaperones it is your responsibility to arrange for your and your child AM/breakfasts and your PM/suppers***

2.FUR COLLEGE

LOCATION: 

Knights Ranch/Farm Inc. 5451 Co Rd 351 Old Town, FL 32680 

Travel North on NE 351 Hwy turn left on NE 370 St, Scrub Creek Baptist Church will be on North-West corner, follow signs

TRAINING: 

FTA Fur College is a fantastic hands on trapping event and opportunity to learn from some of the best! Learn skinning techniques, fleshing and of course trapping! Use of live traps, footholds and snares will be taught. Proper fur handling techniques will be discussed along with trapping ethics. Techniques shown will be of Florida's legal laws and regulations only. It is the participant's responsibility as a hunter/trapper to familiarize themselves according to FWC laws at (myfwc.com). All participants must have a current FL Trapper's License. There will be traps set out and groups will check them.  FTA Fur College is a rewarding extended weekend of hands on trapper training and fellowship with nice folks.
